The beach was beautiful and close by, though some days it was a little hard to get a cabana. We got lucky most of the time. The Supermarket Shuttle and Downtown Shuttle were handy, but I wish the downtown service ran later than 1 PM. I booked a Deluxe Ocean View room for my 35th birthday trip, from September 12-19. There wasn't an ocean view, which was disappointing at first, but the room was lovely, spacious, and had been upgraded with two king-size beds. It was very comfortable, and I enjoyed relaxing on the balcony with the beautiful beach and surroundings. The food options on site were mixed. Hemingway was decent for dinner on the first night, but breakfast wasn't worth another visit. Nemo was fine. Chill was incredible, both the food and staff, and Piazza was very good, although our pizza was underbaked on our second visit. I found carrying a card for both room access and beach towels a bit outdated. A wristband would be much easier. Even with those small gripes, I’d 1000% return now that I know what to expect. The staff were kind, helpful, and accommodating throughout. Special thanks to the front desk team, especially Shersand. Beautiful property and people, and a stay I’ll remember.

Lion's Dive Resort was my first stay in Curacao, for a week in January 2026, and I loved it. The grounds are beautiful, and staff were kind and welcoming. Peaches at the beach towel station deserves a shout-out. The team helped with everything from taxis to beach suggestions. The resort is at the start of this stretch of coastline, with lots of beachfront and calm, protected water. Rooms are simple and clean, with outdoor space. On hot days, I liked cooling off in the relaxation pool, though I didn't use the lap pool. The bars at Hemingway, Piazza, and Chill Bar serve strong, refreshing drinks. They can get loud on alternating nights, and you may hear music from your room, but that feels like part of island life. We ate at Piazza and Hemingway and were surprised by how good the food was, even as picky New Yorkers. Breakfast was convenient, though it could use more coffee and milk choices and some a la carte options. There are other places nearby if you want something different. I saw older couples, young families, and people around my age, all enjoying their vacations. I travel a lot and really loved Lion's Dive. I’ll definitely stay there again when I return to Curacao.

For eight lovely days, the four of us, two adults and two teenagers, stayed at Lions Dive Beach Club Resort. The setting was calm and pleasant, with an almost private beach right beside Mambo Beach Boulevard and its shops and restaurants. Our rooms were spotless, with quality towels and linens, and the staff were kind and welcoming. The on-site restaurants were excellent, and we enjoyed the happy hours, tasty drinks, and fresh, flavorful smoothies. Having parking made it easy to explore beaches on the island's west side. We loved our stay and highly recommend Lions Dive.

I came to LionsDive on my own to celebrate my birthday and had a great time. My stay was Dec 14-22, and I had a partial ocean view over Hemingway's. The Sunday night live band caught me by surprise, but I loved it and jumped out of bed to dance in my room. It’s a nice spot for the beach, though Willemstad is farther away. I took the free shuttle there one day, and it worked great. I had a rental car too, and there was lots of free guest parking. The hotel staff were amazing. Simone kept my room spotless and greeted me each day. Roan at the front desk welcomed me when I arrived, then helped rescue me when my flights home were unexpectedly cancelled. He arranged another room and transportation to the airport the next day, all at the last minute. Eldrich was always smiling, helped with my bags, and gave me a bottle of wine for my birthday. I can’t remember everyone’s names, but so many people treated me with care and respect, including the beach attendants who taught me bon dia and dushi. Thank you all!

The beach was phenomenal, with crystal-clear water and hardly any waves. Some parts of the shore were rocky, but beach shoes took care of that. I loved just being in the water or snorkeling. We saw lots of fish, though no sea turtles. For those, the reviewer suggests heading farther north to Playa Piskado/Forti/Grote Knip. LionsDive Resort is beside Mambo Beach, so it was easy to walk out and find restaurants and other things nearby. The resort has its own beach and restaurants, and downtown Willemstad is only a 10-15 minute drive away. The staff were so kind and helpful, from the front desk and security to the restaurant teams and towel attendants. They gave our kids lots of toys and small souvenirs, which made them feel extra special. Staff also helped carry our luggage up to the third floor and down again, since there’s no elevator. Our room had two queen beds, was clean and roomy enough, and opened onto a shared balcony. I really enjoyed coffee, cigars, and beers out there with the view. Everything about the room, service, food, beach, and location was great. It’s been nearly two months since our trip to Curacao and my family still talks about what a good time we had. It was our first time there and our only hotel so far, but they’ve set the bar high. I’d absolutely go back to Curacao and stay at LionsDive again. Family friendly and affordable luxury. It may not be called a 5-star hotel, but it’s a 10 for me.
