Sabana Cras

We had a lovely holiday at Sabanacras. Everything we needed was there, and the apartment was just right for us. We didn’t bother with the dishwasher because washing up by hand was quick enough. The place was very clean and well maintained, and the pool was great for cooling off. It’s a quiet area but still centrally located, and being near the nightlife was handy in the evenings. The one drawback was that getting to the beaches around Westpunt took a bit longer.

Miriam and Chris made me feel at home right away. They were warm and helpful with any question or practical issue, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. They even invited me to dinner when they’d cooked too much, which was incredibly kind and very tasty. We could keep in touch smoothly on WhatsApp or just have a chat. I spent four months last year in a two-bedroom apartment at Sabanacras on Curaçao, and it was a fantastic experience. The front and back terraces were both spacious, ideal for enjoying the weather, eating, or working and studying. The pool was good for a dip and some sun, and having my own parking spot was a real plus. Miriam and Chris did the laundry themselves, including bedding, towels, and clothes. They used a regular washing machine and detergent, so things didn’t get damaged like they might at a laundromat. That was especially nice for a longer stay. The dogs around the grounds helped me feel secure and got used to guests quickly. There was sometimes dog poop on the property, but Miriam always cleaned it up right away, so you didn’t get a chance to report it. The grounds were kept very tidy. I could also have friends and family over without any trouble. They visited three times during my stay, and I appreciated that flexibility. Sabanacras is a welcoming, comfortable, relaxed base on Curaçao. It’s a bit less central if you want a busy area or nightlife district, though the lively spots are easy to reach by car. The internet was excellent, which mattered for my business and made it easy to serve clients on Zoom. The apartment felt like home, and Miriam & Chris were there for anything I needed. Just sending a message was enough. It’s a safe, lovely place, quiet enough to really relax. I had the best, most wonderful time I’ve ever had. Thanks again, Miriam & Chris. We’ve just come back from three weeks at Sabanacras, run by Miriam and Chris. It’s a little place, but excellent, peaceful, and full of service, with the beautiful island all around and a great base for seeing the rest of Curaçao. For us, it’s first-class, and we’re returning next year for three months. The service is 110%, though there’s one small downside: after Miriam’s weekly cleaning, everything gets put away in a different, very organized place!
