The ocean view was great and the rooms were bright and reasonably clean, but a fellow traveler’s room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. The facilities were grimy, the amenities poor, and the pipes squeaked loudly. At no point did the staff seem interested in helping us. They acted as if our staying there was an imposition.
The pool was okay and could make a nice spot for a pool party, but the outdoor toilets were really bad. The place looked dusty and deserted, and it doesn’t feel very modern. It’s far from Famagusta, so getting there could mean transport hassles.
The beach and location are very nice, but the large hotel needs renovation. When I passed by, it looked neglected and as though it had been that way for a while. Some rooms seemed occupied.
We spent a week at Sky Venus. The staff were friendly, the food was regular, and the room facilities were okay, though some of our friends had complaints.
The administration’s behavior was immature and aggressive, and everything seemed spoiled. The building is old, the rooms are very bad, and the food is bad. Don’t go, or you’ll deeply regret it.
