Atlantica Bay Hotel - Adults Only

The staff and service were the best part, from the lobby through to the kitchen and poolside. Everyone was amazing. They were friendly and quick, and always made great drinks. Rana by the pool was especially kind and friendly, and his milkshakes were the best I’ve had. We loved it. The only things we didn’t enjoy were the à la carte restaurant and the limited entertainment. When there was entertainment it was good, but I think there should have been more, though there were few people staying at the hotel.

I usually travel with my family, but this was my first time visiting the hotel. It’s a good choice if you’re visiting alone or without children. The guests were friendly, mostly older people, so at 40 I felt young. The staff greeted me warmly with a drink, and my room was spacious with a comfortable bed. There was complimentary red wine and fruit on arrival, plus a complimentary minibar, which is unusual for me in Cyprus. The amenities were reasonable for a hotel of this size. I also had two massages with Olga in the spa. She was friendly and professional, the massage left me relaxed as I’d hoped, and the price was very reasonable. I had a very good, enjoyable stay and would recommend it.

The rooms are really nice, and it’s a beautiful hotel with great food and friendly staff. If you run into Sabina behind the bar, watch out for her shots, the drinks are strong and they really knocked me out 🤣. Still, I had a lovely stay and you won’t be disappointed if you book.

The location takes a little getting used to: the beach isn’t right outside, and there’s not much around the hotel in the way of bars or restaurants. But there’s a public underground walkway, and the package includes free sunbeds at the Sands beach restaurant, so you can get there in under five minutes. Limassol is only two euros by bus, and we used it several times without any problems. The entertainment was just okay, with a few singers, dancers and occasional daytime games. It wasn’t a highlight, though it was nice to sit outside with music now and then. The waiters and waitresses kept checking in when our drinks were low and were always ready to help. We spent 11 days here, arriving late on our first night. The hotel had cold snacks and champagne waiting for us. The staff were incredible, friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The rooms were lovely, the view was incredible, and we enjoyed the pool. We never had to get up at dawn to reserve loungers, though I imagine that may change in the height of summer. The food had plenty of variety, and I didn’t have the same meal twice apart from breakfast. We could have a three course meal in the restaurant as well as lunch at the Sands beach restaurant. I’m gluten free, and the food was labelled; both of those optional restaurants catered for me. We couldn’t fault the food. One small surprise was that some drinks weren’t included, though that was our mistake since it was in the welcome pack. On our first day, we ordered Aperol spritz without seeing the menu, which you open by scanning the table number with your phone. We were told there’d be an extra charge, about half the price charged to guests without all inclusive. Cold brewed coffees also cost extra. Calling it all inclusive can leave you second guessing when things have add on charges. All in all, it’s a spectacular hotel that goes out of its way to make you comfortable and relaxed. Special thanks to Helena, who seemed to seat us for dinner every evening. She was lovely and always smiling. We’d definitely return, it was a five star experience.
