The family make the Almond feel like a peaceful haven, and that’s the main reason we keep returning. We’ve been coming as a couple for over 20 years, and they’re always so welcoming. The service is faultless, and they’re happy to suggest places to eat when you head out in the evening. During the day, the poolside bar serves lovely traditional Cypriot food. There’s a large, beautiful pool, with a shallower section for little ones. The hotel is especially suited to adults, though. You can choose a room in the main house, where the rooms are lovely but the bathrooms are small, or one of the more spacious poolside villas. Breakfast is superb. Much of the produce and the eggs come from the property’s well-kept gardens, which also have ostriches and beehives. The homemade honey is great, as are the jams made from citrus trees growing around the villas and pools. A car is useful for exploring. Walking to nearby places can be difficult because the main roads have uneven or missing pavements. We’ll keep coming back to the Almond for its calm and for the family who run it so wonderfully.

It’s so peaceful here, with the mountains behind you and the sea close by. As soon as you arrive, the hosts make you feel like part of a big family and do everything they can for you.

A quiet, natural setting where I could unwind and get a good night’s sleep was exactly what I was looking for. At Almond Holiday Village, even the interior and the staff’s attention felt in keeping with that calm, positive atmosphere. The music in the common hall was gentle and relaxing, too. The owners clearly take special care of the hotel and its guests. I noticed that guests didn’t smoke, though one employee did smoke among them. That seemed to be an exception, and I hope it gets addressed.

I felt at home here. It’s a cosy, beautiful family-owned hotel, with lovely Mediterranean vibes and a big backyard full of fruit trees and a vegetable garden. There are beehives and a hen that provides fresh eggs, too. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great, and I had one of the most relaxing holidays of my life. 💜

We’ve stayed at the Almond Holiday Village twice as a family, and my wife has been coming with her family for years. Plenty of guests return, and I can see why. The family-run place has a personal, friendly feel, and they’re warm and attentive to everyone, accommodating all your needs. It’s set back from the main roads, so it’s very quiet and pleasant. There are a few types of accommodation: two-bedroom cottages that sleep a family of four, villas for smaller families, and upper hotel rooms. I’d highly recommend the Almond, and we’ll definitely be back.
