Citrus Tree Gardens Hotel

The staff were brilliant, and the pool area was great, but the rooms were run down. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. You can also catch the dulmus, which comes by very often. If you hear a beep, that’s the bus telling you it’s coming. Just put your hand up and it’ll stop more or less anywhere.

Everyone on the staff gave us a really warm welcome. We changed rooms, but it was no problem, and the lads helped carry our cases. The pool is beautiful, the rooms are nice, and the food was good.

The place is lovely and the staff are super friendly, but our meal was a bit disappointing. The waiter described the starters as jacket potatoes with beans or cheese. Who has a jacket spud as a starter and then still eats a main? The dessert was described as cake and ice cream. We asked for only ice cream, but got the cake as well. It turned out to be an apple crumble or pie, which was nice, but not quite what we’d been told. Maybe a small written menu would help. The roast beef and all the trimmings were let down a bit by a rubbery Yorkshire pud and gravy that had very little taste.

The setting was beautiful, the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly. We thought the value was amazing. It was exactly what we wanted, and even exceeded our expectations.
