You’re a minute from the sea, with amazing views and a perfect location. A little TLC and some updates would help, as a few lights don’t work, but it could be even better.

The house is beautifully set by the beach, which is about 30 meters away, and the road didn’t bother us. It comfortably sleeps six. Downstairs there’s an open kitchen, dining table and living room, two small rooms with two single beds in each, and a bathroom with a bathtub and toilet. Upstairs is a large bedroom and another bathroom with a big corner bathtub and toilet. The large terrace is reached from the bedroom or by an outside staircase, but without sun protection it’s only usable after sunset. Privacy is limited: the garden is easily reached from the street, and the property can be seen from the street and neighboring villas’ first floors. Before booking, contact EOS, who apparently manage Villa Anemone, well in advance. Replies were very slow and came too late for me. I wanted to know if towels and basics like salt and sugar were provided. Towels were there, but the kitchen had nothing. A quick guide to the appliances, air conditioning, pool and switches would have been appreciated. WARNING! There are ONLY UK sockets!!! Many small things were broken or in poor condition. After I complained, some were fixed, including broken chairs, faulty sun loungers, a missing lampshade and a broken pool cover. Of the four air conditioners, only two worked, both downstairs. Another downstairs unit and the upstairs one didn’t work and were very noisy. The unit in the living area worked well. The fridge was off and closed, leaving an unpleasant smell inside, and the whole house smelled musty. It would be wise to turn on the air conditioning and fridge before guests arrive. There’s a washing machine, dishwasher, and plenty of kitchen appliances, including pans, pots and other utensils. Still, the house’s shortcomings mean I wouldn’t pay more than €120 per night. The driveway to the parking area is poorly built, and the parking space is only suitable for small cars. There’s no turning area on the street. Without a car, getting around is practically impossible.
