What made our stay unforgettable was how helpful and polite the owner was. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. We were a family of seven adults and two small children, and the beautiful villa had everything we needed to feel comfortable and enjoy ourselves. It was our first time in a villa and our first visit to Pomos. We’re in Cyprus now, just down the road from Marilena Sunset 1, but nowhere compares with our time at the Marilena. We tried to book this holiday again, but Booking.com wouldn’t let us reserve 16 days. We only found out today that the site issue has been fixed, too late for us this time. We’ve managed to book for October, though, and can’t wait to return. If you want somewhere where the local culture hasn’t been commercialized yet, this is a great spot. There are lots of little gems to visit or come across by chance. Great people, a lovely place, and a great price.

We had a memorable week here in August 2015. The owner was super nice and helpful, and the villa was very clean and affordable. It’s a wonderful three-bedroom place with three and a half bathrooms, set among a 1000m orange and olive grove. The pool is large and well maintained, with sea and mountain views. It’s peaceful and quiet, a good fit for a family or a group of friends. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there’s wifi, sat tv, A/C, ping pong and a barbeque. By the pool are lounge chairs, and the terrace has a table for romantic dinners outside under the moon and stars. Highly recommended.

The pool is gated and decent. Before you book, make sure all the mattresses have been replaced and upgraded.

There’s a large pool, and the villa is clean, air-conditioned and fully equipped. The old wooden sun loungers and their mattresses are a drawback, since feral cats occupy them. Contact with the owner was fine.

The villa itself is decent, spacious and versatile, but our one-night stay was unpleasant. The administrator/owner didn’t remove the trash, wash the pile of dirty dishes or, most importantly, change the bed linen. He said, “It’s clean, decent people slept here.” We had to sleep in our clothes.
