Cosmelenia Hotel Apartments

The woman running the hotel was hostile, unwelcoming, and nasty. During our 10 days there, she didn’t smile once. The cleaners were rubbish, and we were only allowed fresh towels every 3/4 days. When we asked her for more, she said no. The hotel was awful. Avoid it at all costs, and DO NOT BOOK ALL INCLUSIVE. I’ve attached a picture of my detailed review because this box isn’t big enough to describe what we experienced.

We stayed at Cosmelenia Hotel Apartments in August 2025 on an all-inclusive package, and the experience was very disappointing. The room was about 35°C, but at check-in we were told we couldn’t use the air conditioning without paying extra, even though the booking description clearly said AC was included. This was despite the hotel being almost empty, and we had to wait until after 14:00 to enter the room. The receptionist delivered the news with a mocking smile. There wasn’t even basic soap in the bathroom. The food fell short too. Breakfast was very poor and hardly ever changed. Lunch and dinner could be tasty if you chose well, but vegetables were almost absent, usually just a cucumber slice or a piece of grilled tomato. When I asked for salad, I got two lettuce leaves as a “side dish.” After we complained, management clearly knew it was us. In the restaurant they greeted the other guests but ignored us and gave us unfriendly looks. The pool was clean, and the young bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. His attitude really made up for the receptionist’s rudeness. With the poor service and unfriendly staff, we can’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The owner made this stay even worse. She was hostile and patronising, tried to charge me a disputed 300 euro fee, and wouldn't let my friend and me split a bill. The place was nowhere near what was advertised, and I have never stayed somewhere so horrifying. There were old gummy bears under the bed, holes in the blankets, and only two usable plug sockets because the others were clogged. The wifi didn't work, and with no do not disturb sign, cleaning staff woke me several times. The communal pool table jammed twice and kept my money. The bathroom had almost no water pressure, stained brown towels, taps labelled the wrong way, and no lock, despite the flat being advertised for up to four people. The kitchen was so poorly equipped that I could barely cook anything beyond an egg, even though this was sold as a one-bedroom apartment. The air con charge was misleading: Hotels said 7.50E per stay, but it was charged per night, adding another 50 euro bill. There was air con in only one room, so half the flat was unusable in the heat. The front door lock was broken too, and I couldn't leave the flat for a whole day until it was repaired. Stay away.

The food was banging, and the whole place was spotless. It's an easy-going stay just two minutes from the beach, with truly magical people. I have a child with special needs, and they couldn't do enough for him. This deserves more than three stars. I took my son on a five-star holiday, and I have to say the staff here weren't friendly, unlike ours.
