Mare Ayia Napa

We stayed at Mare Ayia Napa at the beginning of November, 2025, just before the resort closed for winter. We were lucky with the weather, and it was nearly empty, so it felt like we had almost everything to ourselves. It was peaceful, with no crowds and impeccable service. Mandoline Greek Taverna was a highlight. Before we even ordered dinner, they treated us to lots of delicious Greek dishes and drinks. The staff made me and my 3 daughters feel like royalty. Huge thanks to Chef Antonis, host Adamos, Sujan, Ajay and Marianna for a memory we’ll treasure.

The water park is one of the best I’ve seen at a hotel. The village style site is well organised and comfortable, with only very short walks between areas. The restaurants served excellent, high quality food, and even our fussy eaters were easy to accommodate. Adriana, Thekla and Adamos were always on hand and were great at looking after visitors. We had a wonderful stay with lots of family.

Dinner at Mandoline Greek Tavern turned out to be an unforgettable evening. The food was beautifully prepared and full of authentic flavors, and everyone made me feel welcome and looked after. Thank you to Adamos, Chef Antonis Ksanthi, Sangita, Sujan, and Ajay for your kindness, attention, and the lovely atmosphere. I’m so glad I got to eat here, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in Cyprus.

The food has been a highlight so far. We’ve tried a few of the restaurants and they’ve all been great. The snack bars are good too, especially the Korean chicken, and the swim-up bar has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The private beach is lovely, with soft sand and a calm feel, though you need to take care swimming because of the rocks. Mare Village has been fantastic for me and my daughters. The place feels relaxed, stylish, and family-friendly, with beautifully kept, clean grounds. Our room is spacious, modern, spotless, and well cared for. The fridge was stocked with juice, a couple of beers, and sandwiches when we arrived, which was a thoughtful touch after the journey. Michael, the porter, was excellent with our bags and showed us to the room. There are lots of pools, including a swim-up pool attached to our room that gave my daughters a real wow moment, and they also love the splash pool. The pools are a bit cold at this time of year, though that’s to be expected out of season. We’re looking forward to trying the rest of the restaurants and are already thinking about coming back.
