Pavlinia Hotel Apartments

🚨Our cash for four nights was taken at reception, but we were later told we had paid for only three. The Polish receptionist said the money was “with a discount” and gave us no receipt or other proof. When we tried to sort it out, she insisted we either pay for another night or pack and leave. The manager backed her up, saying they’d worked together for 10 years. There are no cameras at reception, so there’s no way for guests to prove what happened. This felt like a scam, with dishonest staff, no accountability, and no respect for guests. I’d tell people to stay away if they don’t want to be cheated and humiliated.

The rooms were pretty okay, and mine had no issues. The air conditioning was strong enough, the wifi worked well everywhere, and my drinks and ice creams stayed cold in the fridge. Cleaning came several times a week. Just remember this is southern Europe. It’s close to the nightlife, but the nights were quiet. The staff were very helpful, and the restaurant at the pool bar had a basic menu with good quality and prices. The pool bar closes at 19 and the restaurant at 16.30. Cocktails are 4e each during happy hour from 16-18. The bigger pool has plenty of sunbeds and closes at 20, and the smaller pool has sunbeds too. It can get full, but a few other hotel pools are a minute away. Guests tend to be on the younger side. For a single-unit room, air conditioning was 8e/day, and for a bigger room it was 16e/day. My balcony door oddly had no curtain, so I had to block the light with towels to sleep. There also weren’t any sockets in the bathroom. Still, a good place to stay, recommended.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff are friendly, but the cleanliness at Pavlinia hotel was poor. During my two-week stay, the room was supposed to be cleaned five times a week, with linens and towels changed twice weekly. The linens were changed four times, and every set had blood or other dirt stains. The bathroom was cleaned only once a week, the floor mopped two or three times, and trash was left behind on three occasions, despite the promised cleaning routine covering the toilet, sink, shower, surfaces, floor, and rubbish. I raised this with reception. They said cleaning would be done properly during my final three days, but those three cleanings still weren’t done properly. Body wash and hand soap also ran out on different days, and I had to ask management to refill them. I was constantly having to remind staff to do their jobs. I came on holiday to relax, not to chase people or make complaints. It’s the first time I’ve criticized a hotel, but paying for two weeks and getting such poor service just isn’t right. For three nights in a row, people in the rooms next to mine made a lot of noise, banging on the walls with their hands and feet. I told reception after the third night, and they resolved it after intervening.

The room was clean, comfortable, and had all new things. The staff were thoughtful and got us everything we needed with a smile. Patricia at reception was especially kind and helped us with everything.
