The staff made the place feel like family by the end of my first Cyprus trip. Reception, cooks, bar staff, and cleaners were all welcoming, checked that dinner was okay, made sure I had what I needed, and stopped for a chat. The hotel is a nice size too, small enough to feel intimate but large enough to meet people if you want to. I was there solo for 7 days, and the location was hard to beat. It’s right by a beautiful swimming beach with white sand and clear blue water. Two grocery shops are at most a 5-minute walk, and Ayia Napa’s center is 15/20 minutes away on foot for dinner or drinks. There are other beaches further along the walking route, and the sunsets were wonderful each evening. I also booked a food and wine tour and visited Varosha, both easy to reach or served by local tours picking up at the hotel. The sauna was lovely after a sunset swim in the ocean. The outdoor pool was quite “fresh” at this time of year, though most people swam in the ocean, which was still a nice temperature. Clean rooms, food service, extra swimming towels, the bar, and the sauna were all spot on. The gym was handy since I train a lot, but its basic machines were limiting. Anyone looking for a high-end gym may find it restricted. Free weights and a squat rack with a bench would be a big improvement. I also care about sustainability. The hotel seems to be ecocertified, but I felt bad using the small shampoo and body wash bottles, each only enough for one or two showers. I went through quite a few. Refillable dispensers in the shower, like I’ve seen at another hotel, might be a better option and last longer. If you’re unsure about booking, I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Mr Lakis made our anniversary day extra special by leaving chilled champagne in our room. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and my 50th birthday, and the hotel exceeded what we expected. The beach was only 20 steps away, and we had a great view from our clean, quiet room with adjustable AC. Cosmetics, tea, coffee, and towels were included. There was also a pool, sauna, jacuzzi, showers, and free snacks and drinks for AI guests. We tried over 50 dishes during our 8 days, mostly local, and everything was fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and smiling, and made us feel at home. We loved it and would definitely recommend it to couples looking for a lovely stay. No kids under 12 are allowed here!!!

We spent all 10 days by the sea, with lovely walks along the coast to nissi beech on the right and ayia napa Harbour on the left. The hotel is virtually on the beach, and the sea-facing penthouse on the top floor, 6, was the highlight: great beach and sunset views. Its balcony was regular-sized with a table and 2 chairs, despite being advertised as large, so there were no sunbeds. The room itself was really good. The fridge and safe were included, and towels were free to change daily with no deposit. The hotel feels more intimate than the bigger places. Everyone was polite and courteous, the staff were fantastic, and the restaurant team were brilliant and took drink orders. Food was OK with lots of different dishes each day, but often not hot unless it had just come out. We were all-inclusive, and the local drinks tasted fine. The cocktails were lovely, especially gin fizz and coco loco. AI ran until 11pm, then drinks cost extra. There’s a sauna, steam room, and indoor pool on site. The outdoor pool looked lovely, but we didn’t use it because most loungers were shaded and taken by 10.30am. Other guests said the pool was cold. Two beach beds cost €5, and an umbrella was another €2.5. There was no hotel entertainment, but the main street was only a few minutes’ walk away. I’d go again only if there were a really good deal, though I’m not put off. I’d recommend the sea-facing penthouse.

I stayed solo for 10 days and loved the place, especially the warm, dedicated, friendly staff. There were so many cats around, too 😻. Right on the beach, the location was ideal, and it was easy to take day trips on local and intercity buses. Amenities included an outdoor pool beside the dining area, sauna, heated pool, and steam room. The food was delicious, with themed cuisine nights and excellent presentation, and was better than I expected. I’d come back in a heartbeat. 🫶🏽

We spent two lovely weeks at Tasia Maris Sands, and the quick, easy email communication helped us get a room that worked for my needs when I decided at the last minute to bring my wheelchair, which I use part time. The location is great, right by the beach and within walking distance of supermarkets and restaurants. The attentive service really stood out. Everyone from reception and housekeeping to the restaurant and bar staff was kind, always smiling, and ready with a friendly word. Panikos and Kostas especially made us feel at home. They both grew up in the Ayia Napa region and know a lot about Cyprus, so it was special to chat with local people. We’re looking forward to seeing them again. Thank you!
