Terpsithea Apartments

The owner gave us a warm welcome. The apartment was cozy and really nice, with all the essentials we needed for our holiday. I loved it.

The owner greeted us warmly and showed us a room that looked clean. She later brought the air conditioner remote, and there was no extra charge for it. That was the good part of our stay. Once it got dark, we found bugs all over the room. There must have been at least a hundred bedbugs. I killed a few in shock, then we ran to reception and asked the owner to come see. She seemed surprised and apologized, which I appreciated, but then insisted we could stay because there was nothing to fear and said this was normal. She offered bug spray, though bedbugs are resistant and that would not get rid of them. We said we would not sleep there, so she arranged for us to stay at her sister's place, Christothea Apartments. She said our three nights would be covered by the money we had paid her and that we would owe her sister only €35. We actually paid the sister €50, and the place was not clean either. The next morning her sister put us out because she had a Booking reservation that night and no room for us, saying it was our problem. With nowhere else available, she put us in a horrible, old, smelly room under the stairs. The first owner refunded only €190 of the €235 we had paid, and we had to pay another €45 for that awful room. If you get room 4 at Terpsithea Apartments, check every corner. I doubt they brought in an exterminator, and you really don't want bedbugs coming home with you.

We only really used the comfortable room to sleep, so it had everything we needed. A very nice lady welcomed us.

The owners were kind and thoughtful, and the apartment was clean and roomy. It was near the city centre but still quiet enough at night.
