Chloraka Terrace Apartments

We booked from May 22 to 27 and tried to contact the property about our late arrival. They didn't reply through Booking or by message. On the travel day, all we got was a key code and “OK,” which already felt odd. At 2 AM, we arrived to dirt everywhere and a strong, unpleasant smell. There was just one pillow with the bedding. It was disgusting. We had no choice but to stay that first night, but booked another place before going to bed. I've travelled widely, including in Egypt, and never encountered a place this filthy, even among basic lodgings. It was completely unacceptable. We left the next day and reported it at reception, which was basically a storage room. The receptionist told us to ask Booking for a refund. We did, but the property ignored Booking too, just as it had ignored our calls, so we lost the money for the nights we didn't stay. I'm not looking for luxury, but I'd strongly advise anyone who can avoid this place to do so. The accommodation and the way they dealt with the problem were both disgusting, and the stay was a huge disappointment.

The shaded parking was great, and the pool was decent. I enjoyed the stay enough to give it five stars, though the apartment may not suit everyone. The kitchen put us off cooking. We didn't use it during the stay, and when we checked out we found an old, greasy dish in the oven that wasn't ours. The kettle and some other kitchen items also weren't in good shape. Cleanliness and the furniture's condition could have been better. I can see why those things might lead someone to rate the place lower. They didn't spoil my trip, though; I worked around the rough edges and focused on enjoying the holiday. The location and experience were good, and if you're not too picky and arrive with realistic expectations, it's still a decent place.

The apartment was spacious, bright, and clean, with what we needed and lovely sunset views from a good-sized balcony. It was great value, and the place itself was fine. The outside could use a bit of paint.

The balcony view was the reason I picked this place, and it was exactly what I hoped for. The apartment was spotless and looked just like the photos. It was a quiet spot for my short Cyprus trip, just right for the little retreat I wanted. The bed was really comfortable, and everything worked. There were plenty of towels at no extra cost, plus a full bottle of hand soap and shampoo. For a simple guy like me, a coffee kettle and a fridge for KEO beer were all I needed. Nakis came across as genuine and cool, someone who cares about customers and not just the business. From what I'd read in earlier reviews, it seems they're trying hard to improve things if there have been issues before. The only downside was the trek between the apartments and the strip. After a full day out exploring, it can feel tiring. That isn't really a problem with the apartments, but I strongly recommend hiring a car. I'd consider one next time, even though driving on the left makes me nervous.
