Diamond Villas

We were three families and spent eight days at the villas, with all we needed for a great holiday. The large, clean yard gave us room to sit together by the pool, which was clean too, with warm water even at night. The beach is so close that we could walk there in a minute without carrying much. We were there in August, and every room had AC, so we could cool off indoors on hot days. Nandos, the owner, helped with everything we asked and made sure we were happy with the service. Because our flight was late, he let us check out late from two villas. The third was booked, so we had to leave that one on time.

We had a really enjoyable stay in Villa No.4, and I'd probably return, though I'd look at similar villas first. We booked a two-bedroom through Jet2Villas but were pleasantly surprised to get a three-bedroom villa, which seemed the most private of the four. First impressions were great. The rear entrance opens into the kitchen and dining area, which connects to the lounge and out through patio doors to the veranda and pool. Downstairs, the huge bedroom suite has a large bed and a decent en-suite, with its own patio doors. Upstairs are a twin room, a double with balcony access, and a smaller bathroom. All the bedrooms have large wardrobes, the kitchen is adequately equipped, and there was a welcome pack in the fridge. The initial wow factor faded when we noticed how tired the villa was. The bathrooms need refreshing, and better shower screens would help, since water still ended up on the floor and made it slippery. We were also bemused when maintenance workers turned up without warning: the pool guy came most mornings, and a gardener came one afternoon. His leaf blower stirred up dust, so we couldn't lie by the pool until he was done.

The terrace was a lovely place to relax, and the private yard was a real plus. The pool isn't heated, but after a full day in the sun it warms up. The rooms are simple and have AC. With ten sleeping places, it works well for three families.

Our first villa holiday, with the family, was at Diamond villas this July, and it was fantastic from beginning to end. The villa was very clean and well maintained. We arrived quite late, but the next morning the owner Nondas came by to give us a warm welcome and some really useful advice about places to go and things to do nearby. We ate out every night and found his tips excellent. There was a welcome package with food and drink in a stocked fridge. The pool was clean and in good condition, which was a big plus for our kids, who loved it. We had a hire car and found it easy to get around for sightseeing, and I'd recommend one for this holiday. We'd never done a villa stay before, so weren't sure what to expect, but we had a great time. Well recommended.
