Rododafni Villas

We came in early May and hired a car so we could explore the beaches nearby. Our top-floor apartment had stunning views, and being right beside the sea made the location feel perfect. We also enjoyed taking evening walks along the seaside sidewalk. Everything was spotless and well cared for, and the owners were friendly. We had a great stay and would happily return.

We left after just one of the five nights we had booked and moved to the Nestor hotel in Agia Napa. The drive cost us almost a full day of holiday time. I really don't understand the rating for this place. The shower cabins had no doors, so water splashed out and we had to clean it up. The towels were extremely old and unpleasant, the cutlery looked at least 20 years old, and there were smelly mops and rags in the kitchen cupboard. The white walls and doors may look nice, but the place felt dirty. The air conditioning cost €8 per night, yet it was so noisy we couldn't use it, and we still had to pay. The neighbors' dogs barked all night. There's no beach with sand for children, and we found nowhere to go or anything to do, with no good restaurants around. It felt like we were stuck in the apartment cooking and cleaning.

The beach is right outside, and from the bed you can look out to sea. We chose this place for a seven-day holiday and were so happy with that decision. It's peaceful compared with the big hotels, with lovely gardens and really good value for money. I'll come back next time I'm in Cyprus.

The garden leads down to a small beach area and a promenade that runs all the way to Paphos. The gardens are kept very clean, and the pool is immaculate. These are beautiful, family-run apartments, with studios as well as one- and two-bedroom options. Maria and Andrea are very caring. I can't fault the place and will be back.
