St. George Hotels

We came at Easter, before the full experience opened in May, but there was still plenty to enjoy. The lunch at the Italian/Greek restaurant was exceptional, and the Thai restaurant was one of the best meals we had. The coffee house was the best, too. Tikki bar was lovely, though its cocktails were weak and hit or miss. For drinks, we liked the wine bar and the regular cocktail bar best. The assigned sunbeds were brilliant, and after three days at the beach we moved to the pool, where the staff were so helpful and never made anything feel like a bother. The rooms were spacious and clean, with tea and coffee facilities, a small safe and a hairdryer that was pretty good. The hotel itself is spectacular, spacious and amazing.

The food and drinks were hot, tasty and top quality, and the service was number one. The staff were excellent, especially Lima, who looked after the sunbeds, and Roshan at the bar. I stayed five nights and found it the best hotel in Cyprus. Definitely coming again.

We had a relaxing week here in April, with a few little annoyances. The food was lovely, and the restaurant and pool staff were helpful. We liked the piano lounge, the accordion/harmonica player and the delicious drinks. The club wasn't our thing, and younger guests told us it felt repetitive, so anyone wanting lively nights may prefer somewhere else. The snack bar does lovely food, and the Route 66 restaurant served a mean steak. The Greek/Italian restaurants weren't open for dinner until around May. The sunbed allocation seemed odd at first: poolside loungers were empty while ours was further down towards the beach. If you like the beach that's probably fine, but we mostly wanted the pool. It worked out, since the bed stayed assigned for our whole stay, staff tracked when poolside ones became free, and we got one by the pool for the last few days. Not having to get up early was great, though it might help if guests could mark days they'll be away. The rooms were turned down, but the floors were never mopped. I dropped my pack of cards and they came up covered in dust. We booked late checkout and could use the room until 6pm, which was great, but the cleaner started waiting around from about 1pm to clean and it felt overbearing.

The sunbed setup worked really well for us. We chose the garden area facing the sea, with its lovely views, plenty of space and calming ocean sounds, and could stroll down whenever we wanted without worrying about finding a place to sit. One morning we went out and still had our spot to relax at in the afternoon. The sunset from the sunset bar was unreal, though the bar wasn't open for drinks then. We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and had a lovely stay. We booked premium all inclusive, which covered branded as well as local drinks. Cider wasn't included, but there was plenty else, including beer, spirits and cocktails. It was off season, so two outdoor restaurants weren't available. We ate at the American diner-style restaurant and the Asian-style restaurant, and both were tasty with great waiter service. The buffet had enough choices for us, even though we're both fussy eaters. If you don't want the lunchtime buffet, the pool bar serves things like pizza, burgers, sandwiches and fries. The indoor cafe also has desserts, sandwiches, coffee and alcohol. The toilets were always clean, and our room was spotless and spacious. Another handy feature was a QR code that showed the all-inclusive menus for each day of the week, so we could check what was available and see the à la carte choices too.
