Glaro garden is a beautiful, serene place, very close to a lovely beach. It’s an agro-tourism hotel, so you can see corn, aubergines, and tomatoes growing in the garden, and they can end up on your dinner plate. The rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was superb, and Murad kindly made us a delicious vegetarian dinner when we asked. The owners are very special and helpful. We had a wonderful experience and strongly recommend it.

The rooms have been renovated and everything was spotless. It’s very close to famous ayphilon beach, and Mr. Murat is clearly doing his best to make guests feel welcome. What more could you want?

I paid 65€ for a stay with no working internet, no sleep, an inconvenient bed, and nowhere to sit outside because my room had no outdoor furniture. There was only a broken table lying in a ditch. The website advertised a single room for 55 Euros, and I also had to pay 10 Euros for a terrible, very low-quality children’s bike. Glaro Garden was hard to find and a 15 minute walk from the village “centre”. I felt single travellers weren’t treated like families or couples. I complained to one of the "employees" about the lack of furniture, but nothing was done. Maybe it wasn’t worth it because I was travelling alone. The landlord tried to be helpful at check-in, but had very poor listening skills, so I had to repeat everything 2x. Other guests in my block moved furniture around inconsiderately until 11pm, and I told them off. At 2.15 am another pair of tourists were talking loudly on the terrace, so again I couldn’t sleep. There was no evening entertainment, and the TV only had Turkish channels. I wish I’d booked through Agoda.or booking to make a formal complaint and seek compensation. AVOIID n stay in Magusa!! Better value and friendlier people!!

Murat was such a welcoming, attentive host, somehow balancing care for his 3 small children with looking after his guests, and doing both admirably. My room was big, bright, clean, and quiet enough that I slept like a log. All you hear in the area are farm animals. Breakfast was simple, traditional, and fresh, and Murat was always smiling and happy to answer questions. The location makes it easy to visit both the north and south of the peninsula, and I’d love to stay again. I still laugh thinking about the ducks, geese, and turkeys racing down the grass one day.

We spent 2 nights here and had a wonderful time. Murat and his family were so friendly and made us and our baby feel very welcome, doing everything they could for us. The rooms were clean and cozy, and both breakfast and the other food they offered were amazing. If we come back to Cyprus, we’ll definitely visit the family again. Thanks for everything, from the Austrian family.
