Mylos Court Apartments

The only things that worked well were the basics: we slept there, and the AC was quite good. I was pleased at first when I booked because the price was favourable and the apartment was very close to the beach avenue. But the rest was disappointing, and I don't understand how this place averages above 9 points. The apartment was dirty and showed heavy use. It looked as though the owner hadn't spent anything on renovations for a long time. There were ants throughout the kitchen and bathroom. The fridge wasn't switched on when we arrived, which was inconvenient because we had groceries that needed refrigeration. The bathroom door wouldn't close, for obvious reasons in the pictures, and the balcony door was broken too. We asked for a double bed but got two twin mattresses pushed together with no topper. Showering was a nightmare: the water was either extremely hot or extremely cold, with no way to set it warm. We raised our concerns with Booking.com during the stay, and they contacted the property. The owner said we had received a complimentary upgrade and that everything in the apartment was fine. We never met the owner, so had no chance to explain how unhappy we were. And if this was an upgrade, what would the original room have been like? Because of my Genius status, Booking.com offered a 10% refund. I still haven't received an apology from the property. I'm posting this review with all the photos because the owner didn't take the time to speak with me or offer any compensation, even something symbolic. If they had, I wouldn't have posted. I'm truly disappointed and think people should know what to expect here.
