Nurel Shark Residence

We were in Kyrenia for a wedding and feel incredibly lucky to have stayed at Nurel Shark Residence. The property is brand new and spotless, and our upgrade to an immaculate, high-end two-bedroom apartment was stunning. Breakfast was included and had a delicious range of choices. We were busy all week, but the staff went out of their way to help. We ate at the rooftop restaurant several times, and the view was breathtaking. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy drinks and the scenery. The spa was relaxing and enjoyable too. This feels like a hidden gem, and we even met their European marketing manager, who shared exciting plans for expanding what they offer. The service and facilities were high quality, and we were blown away by the value. Highly recommend the hotel, especially the rooftop for a drink and a view. We can’t recommend it enough, it was truly an unforgettable stay!

The staff were friendly and the service was good, and breakfast was nice, though the coffee machine wasn’t working. I was disappointed to learn at reception on my second evening that cleaning was only done three times a week, since nobody had explained that when I arrived. The room hadn’t been cleaned and the towels hadn’t been changed. I’d come after reading excellent reviews and was given a clean fourth-floor room with a kitchenette, sitting area, and bathroom, about a five-minute walk from the city center. The hidden lights made a lot of noise when switched on, probably because of the power supply, and the light above the bed flickered, so I turned it off. The AC was installed over the bed, blowing right onto your head. It should be over the TV area. The mattress was terrible, just a basic spring type, and the pillows were just as poor. I expected better quality bedding from a place that respects itself. The hot and cold sides of the bathroom sink tap were reversed, so I waited ten minutes for the water to adjust. The shower was large and comfortable but had low water pressure. Getting to the toilet also took some acrobatics because the door opened straight onto it.

The food was delicious, and the place was clean. The staff were amazing and helpful. Cheap, fun, and highly recommended.

The room was spacious and very clean, with a great shower and a big kitchen. I stayed three nights, but the cleaner never came by. The staff weren’t very nice, and it was hard to catch them smiling.
