Hellas Hotel

The staff were friendly, the location is good, the bed was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was reasonable. But the building feels like an unappealing step back to the 1970s, with wood chip wallpaper, an avocado bathroom suite, old furnishings, and worn carpets in both the room and corridors. The public areas were dark and dingy. Frankly, it needs a radical refurbishment.

Really good for the price, and very clean. The receptionist, Mrs Maria, was caring and helpful, trying to do the best for us as guests. Thank you ❤️

The owner is very friendly and hospitable, and does everything herself. For me, that's a 10/10. It's a quiet hotel with no noise, the room has good A/C, and the bathroom and towels were clean. There's also a relaxing view from the breakfast area. The downsides were the bed sheets, which weren't the cleanest, and a few dead bugs I spotted on them. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor: toast, ham, cheese, vegetables, and eggs. They asked how I wanted my eggs but forgot to bring mine. Some of the equipment was dated, and parking is limited. It might be best for 1-2 days, but at this price you could find somewhere better.

Mrs Maria, the owner, is very polite and supportive. The hotel is in the centre of Kakopetria, and Galata is an easy, cozy 2.5km walk away. The villages meet at their borders, so you can walk between them without even realising you've left one.
