Rodon Hotel and Resort

A quaint mountain hotel and a great place to get away. The room was spacious and had good amenities, though the building and facilities look dated and need updating. At the restaurant, hospitality was lacking in places. They made us leave at 10 so they could prepare for lunch. The fridge didn't work, but fortunately we didn't need it. Still recommended.

We've brought our family to Rodon Hotel for many years because it's in an amazing location, so this visit's poor service was a real letdown. We stayed in an executive suite with two TVs, but neither could access the internet or Netflix. Reception told me they don't provide internet on the TVs for safety reasons. I was astonished, especially in an executive suite. It felt outdated, poorly explained, and below the accommodation standard we expected. The breakfast experience was also unpleasant. We got our food quickly after arriving at 09:50, sat down at 10:00, and were told at 10:10 to hurry up and leave because they were closing. At 10:15, the lights went off while we were still eating. I understand they needed to prepare for lunch, but guests who arrived before closing shouldn't be treated that way. Later, we asked about the tea and cake offer. The waiter didn't know which cakes were available and told us to get up and look. When I politely asked if he could bring them over so we could choose, he just said, “no, get up if you want.” I've worked in hospitality for 15 years and have never spoken to a customer like that. It was upsetting to get such blunt, rude treatment somewhere we'd trusted and visited for years. This is the first time we've had such bad service at Rodon Hotel, and I hope it was an exception rather than the new standard.

The rooms are simple, but the views are beautiful enough to make up for that. The hotel is lovely and cozy, in a perfect location, and has a truly magical atmosphere at Christmas. A charming place to unwind.

The breakfast was simple but really fresh and tasty. The rooms are big, the view is magical, and everything feels cozy, warm, clean, and well organized. I'm in love with this amazing hotel and will definitely be back soon! 🥰
