The Mill is well worth a visit if you're in Kakopetria. The trout with garlic butter, their signature dish, was cooked just right and was easily the best in the region. The setting feels warm and rustic, and the whole meal, from starters to the mountain views, felt authentic. A great place for a long, traditional Sunday lunch.

Set by a forest and river, this is a beautiful historic hotel with a long tradition. The staff are always kind and polite, and the place is clean and well kept for its age. There's a cozy, peaceful atmosphere, traditional decor, and lovely views with fresh, clean air. The food is delicious, with all kinds of dishes served quickly. Highly recommended for families, solo travelers, or anyone after a quiet stay. 👌😊😌

We were stunned by how we were treated. In all my life, I've never gone somewhere to eat and been insulted at the entrance in front of everyone. The management is incredibly rude. We asked if we could eat there with our small, 5 kg dog. She's adorable and very well behaved. The older man at the entrance said dogs normally weren't allowed inside unless they were in a carrier, but he might make an exception for us. We politely explained that our dog was well behaved and never barked. He then told us, in front of other customers, “I don't have a problem with the dog, I have a problem with its owners who think their ‘baby’ never does anything wrong. But I guess you can sit as an exception.” We politely said we didn't want any favors and would eat somewhere else. We're never coming back, and I'll tell people about this. A word of advice to the owners: don't insult your customers. Greek hospitality left this place long ago.

Rude host, and not pet friendly. The older host in charge of the restaurant insulted us at the door in front of everyone. It was me, my sister, her husband, their newborn, and our very small dog. It was a windy day, so we asked to sit inside because of the baby. We explained that the dog was quiet, non-reactive, and wouldn't bark. She'd stay on a leash under the table, where nobody would even know she was there. We would have preferred a straightforward refusal, but instead he said, “I don't have an issue with dogs, I have issues with their owners who all of them seem to think they have the perfect most well behaved babies.” He then offered to make a one-time exception. After being insulted in front of everyone, we chose not to eat there. It's a shame, because we used to like the place. The food quality had already been declining over the years, to the point where I wouldn't recommend it for traditional Cyprus cuisine. Their prices also seem to keep going up.

We had good food and friendly service, with a lovely view across the village. The menu and wine list are extensive, and the restaurant feels refined. Prices were decent too.
