From our balcony we had a lovely view of the mountains, which you may be able to see across the water on a clear day. There’s a small beach just across the road, and the bus stops by the hotel and gets to the city center in about 30 minutes, so the location worked well for us. The buffet food tasted wonderful and felt very authentic to the region. The room was okay. There’s an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, plus a jacuzzi, but in February it was too cold for us to use them.

We visited for the day to use the pool and beach. There were plenty of sunbeds, and the infinity pool was lovely. The beach is small but fine, though the water was choppy when we went. It’s quite exposed, and we prefer more sheltered beaches. The beach bar had good food and service at reasonable prices. Of the hotels we visited for a day out, this was one of the better ones. We’d definitely return.

I’m at the hotel now. The rooms are comfortable and nice, and the pool looks very good, but it wasn’t as clean as it should have been, which was disappointing. My friend also found ants in his child’s bed. The hotel itself is pretty, but there seems to be too little care for the building and the guests. The staff have been cold, and it feels like we’re inconveniencing them. There are no smiles or extra effort for holidaymakers. Such a shame, because the place has potential.

There’s still work going on around the hotel to bring it back to its best, and you can see the improvements. It isn’t immaculate yet, but the beachside pool is fantastic. I’d happily come back even before all the work is finished.

We only came for the day to use the beach and pool, so I can’t comment on the rooms. The pool and beach were clean, with plenty of space. There was a decent, simple lunch menu and a good choice of drinks. There were lots of piles of seagrass on the beach.
