Achilleos City Hotel

We only booked for one night between flights, so I didn’t expect much, but it turned out to be a really good stay. The room was clean and had all the basics, plus plenty of toiletries: shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, body lotion, shaving kit with cream, toothbrushes, and more. We’d booked a regular room but even had a jacuzzi in ours. Breakfast was pretty nice, with fresh orange juice. For what we paid, and considering it’s a two-star hotel, it was more than enough.

Right in the city centre, though a few metres away from the noise, so the location is excellent. The hotel is clean and well maintained, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast had lots of tasty local and Greek options. Recommended.

A disgusting stay. There’s no air conditioning, cockroaches all over, and the whole building reeks of sour cabbage, as if someone had been boiling it there since 1970. There’s no parking either, so they had us park in a tiny street. The woman at the front desk, whether she was staff or the owner, was unbelievably rude and obnoxious. She yelled at my kids and treated us like our very presence was a bother. It was the worst customer service I’ve ever had. I’d give zero stars if I could. Don’t waste your money or time here. I’ve seen hostels with more class. Absolute trash.

Achilleos City Hotel is in an unbeatable spot, a short walk from the beach and promenade. Restaurants including TGI Fridays, KFC, Burger King, and McDonald's are all within two minutes, along with plenty more. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of fresh, tasty choices. Our room was spacious and clean, with a big comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning, and a lovely roomy shower. The staff were friendly and accommodating, too. A fantastic stay.
