The property never apologized or gave an explanation, and trying to reach anyone got me nowhere. I arrived after midnight, as agreed, followed the check-in directions, and found that the key didn’t fit the doors. Nobody answered any of the numbers I called or replied to my messages. After an hour of trying, I gave up. The place felt a bit creepy, and it was too late to book somewhere else, so I had to take a taxi back to the airport. That round trip cost me 40 EUR. A disaster, and the worst experience I’ve had. From the photos and other reviews, sleeping there might have been disgusting too. Maybe the airport bench would’ve been better. Never book this accommodation.
The good points were the large room and bed, the balcony, and the central city location. We paid €23 for one night in a double room. Still, I wouldn’t recommend it. We arrived at 5pm, two hours past the 3pm limit. Parking was another surprise: there are no spaces, and it costs an extra €2.5 a day. Parking on the street could get you fined. Phone support goes through a company whose staff didn’t speak Greek and spoke English that was hard to understand, so communication was difficult. The room hadn’t been cleaned or prepared after the previous guests. The towels were covered, and there was rubbish and coffee stains everywhere. After we complained, two cleaners came. They changed the covers, but left the coffee stain, then opened our bag and put our beach bathrobe on the bed instead of leaving two clean towels. When we raised that, they brought just one towel, apparently thinking the bathrobe made up for it. There are two shared toilets. One had a broken bin lid, and the other had no light. The whole stay was disappointing.
The room was just okay, but the staff were awful. For six days I kept asking for help with the washing machine, which seemed either broken or disabled. An outside company kept saying they were processing it or on their way, but nothing happened. The owners were careless and useless whenever I needed help. The bathroom was disgusting and flooded after every shower. There are no doors in the apartment except the room door, which has a tiny padlock, so there’s no security. Don’t stay here. One star.
The room was clean and had everything I needed, even a hair dryer, plus a nice balcony. The bathroom is shared, but I found it quite clean and there was always hot water. It’s close to the market and beach, and the price was really good. It might get a little noisy on weekends, since there’s a sports bar across the street.
The only good thing was how close it is to the beach and city center. The room smelled so bad and was so filthy that it barely felt like accommodation. The bed seemed like someone had urinated on it. I asked the owner to move us, but nothing was arranged for eight hours. We’d checked in late, couldn’t sleep, and had to leave for somewhere else. The owner and the cleaner who came later both acknowledged that the room smelled and was in bad shape. Even so, they charged us 50%. A really bad experience. Please find another place if you want a comfortable stay.
