We left without staying, and nearly four weeks later we still hadn't received a refund. The woman who checked us in shouted that we wouldn't get one because we'd used the air conditioning and sat on the bed. She was furious when we returned the keys, even though I politely asked her to speak to us differently and explained that the room didn't work for us. She kept yelling and swearing at us. We were only in Larnaca for a concert and had been excited about the trip. We didn't deserve to be treated that way. Please don't book this place. It doesn't deserve two stars. We'd booked a room with two single beds because I was travelling with a friend, but found only a small 1.5 bed, too small even for a teenager. When we asked for another room, we were refused. We spent another hour trying to reach Booking.com, then checked out because we were running late for the concert. The place was awful from the moment we arrived. The front door was closed, so I rang the bell. After two minutes an elderly woman answered and told us to use the door at the back. We walked past a dusty, cluttered reception, with old furniture, an unclean room and a messy bed with old sheets tucked behind a shelf. It looked disgusting, as if someone had been sleeping there. In another room at the back, the smell was horrible, like cabbage boiling. The woman sat at an old table to ask for my documents. There were no computers or technology. We were also told to leave our keys with her whenever we went out. Is that even legal? She said we wouldn't get our money back because we'd used the air conditioning and sat on the bed. I guess breathing that cabbage smell isn't free either.
