Rise Urban Art Hotel

The location is great, with everything you need right there or nearby, including the sea. The people working here are amazing, and so friendly. This hotel is definitely worth more than three stars, at least 4+. If you're from America, I'd compare it to an Aloft, and if you're from Europe, to Moxy. It’s an excellent place to stay, especially for a short visit or the night before a flight from the airport.

We enjoyed our stay. The room is cozy, the hotel is downtown, and the ladies at reception are very nice and helpful. They clean the room every two days. Unfortunately, there are two ladies in the restaurant, and one needs more training in customer satisfaction and how to behave. She says she’s the manager, but she’s cleaning the tables.

The room itself was clean, roomy and comfortable, and the hotel has a fun art theme and a nice atmosphere. Check-in felt slick and professional, with a warm welcome. It’s an easy walk to the seafront, promenade, restaurants and shops. The restaurant was closed Tuesday, but the concierge suggested some great alternatives. Noise from other rooms was a letdown, and that’s why I rated the room three stars. I’ve seen other reviews mention the same thing, so it doesn’t seem like a one-off. I’m unsure about returning; if I do, I’d want to confirm my room allocation ahead of time.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, though I didn’t find the breakfast-area staff as welcoming. The hotel looks modern and appealing, but our room had some issues. The bathroom was so cramped that my legs touched the sink when I sat on the toilet, and its vent was extremely loud. The rooms could use better maintenance.
