SOHO City Apartments

The building is well built, which mattered most to me: the room didn’t turn into a sauna ten minutes after switching off the AC. By the end of July, we could sleep with just one AC running in the living room. The location is great too, with lots of bars and even a nice wine market within a two-minute walk.

Room 501 smelled like dead fish, and the fridge was covered in something that looked like sh**. The apartment wasn’t clean and looked nothing like the pictures. A door was broken, and the dishes were dirty. It had a British power socket but no adapters, so nothing worked. We asked the owner to bring adapters; he said he’d bring them the next day, but didn’t. The wi fi mostly didn’t work or had a bad signal. The bad soup and lack of shampoo were another problem. The soup in the shower was like dish cleaning soup. It wasn’t worth the price. My friend got a better room in a hotel close to us for a cheaper price.

The location is great, but the cleanliness really let the place down. There was hair on the floor and in the bathroom, the sheets didn’t feel clean enough, and the carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in about a month.

The owner was quick to respond and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and there’s free parking. It’s also in a very good spot, close to the beach.
