St. Lazaros Studios

We went in February, off season, and it was very peaceful. The place was clean and nice, and easy to find since it's central. There are plenty of places nearby for food and drinks. The only downside was trouble with the hot water, so we had to wash in cold water.

This is a private property with studios, not a hotel as it's listed on Booking, so compare it with apartments for rent instead. I don't recommend it, and it's overrated. The owner didn't give me the building entry code, so I couldn't get in. If I'd arrived in the middle of the night as planned, I would have been left on the street. Luckily, my flight was delayed and I happened to meet other guests at the entrance. The air conditioning didn't work at all. Towels were provided, but they weren't changed during the stay, and the apartment wasn't cleaned either. There's no room service. They asked what time I ideally wanted to check out, then said 2 p.m. wasn't possible when I answered. Why ask? In fact, they seemed to want me to leave early so they could do some work in the room before the next guests arrived. P.S. Take the reviews here with a grain of salt. Some could be from the owner or his friends. It's true that the airport bus passes near the studios, but it doesn't stop there, and there's no bus stop nearby.

The studios are in a well-kept building with a terrace and a very photogenic setting. Room 201, at the top, is fully equipped and has a cute little balcony. The location is super convenient, in the heart of Larnaca beside the most picturesque church. Bring UK plug adaptors, and make sure you have the building entry password. I had to call the owner when I arrived.

The studio was well equipped and had its own bathroom. The staff were kind and friendly, and the air conditioning worked fine. The building has several studios and is in a perfect spot, just a few minutes from the main beach, with shops and coffee places nearby.
