Aphrodite Gardens No.9 Luxury Apt

The room was spacious, had all the amenities, and the staff were friendly. Restaurants are a 20-minute walk away. One day, a large part of the pool was closed because they said there was no lifeguard present. The lifeguard was sitting by the pool, so there was probably a reason for closing it, but they should give the correct reason. Unfortunately, the accommodation promotes the zoo, where conditions are bad. The animals are kept in cages that are too small, and an elephant is alone and can be petted. A man standing there had a stick with a sharp metal tip to make the elephant listen. I don't understand how a hotel can promote this. For me, that’s a reason not to book here again or recommend it to others.

Our second stay at elysia park, and the apartment was comfortable and spacious. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. They left a bottle of wine for our repeat stay and my birthday, a nice touch. The baby bath, highchair and cots were all ready when we arrived, and there’s a little supermarket right next door. The infinity pool is one reason we like staying here, but half of it was closed, it was half empty and didn’t look attractive. We weren’t told before the stay or when we arrived. The water was freezing, so we spent most of our 10 night stay at the beach. WiFi kept cutting out every 5 mins, and having to re register constantly got extremely annoying. It still hadn’t been fixed by the end of our stay. Cleaners come every 3 days, but we had to chase it because the cleaner had marked the room as cleaned when they hadn’t. Three days with kids coming in from the beach probably isn’t enough, and extra cleaning costs more. Hot water also wasn’t ready to use straight away. You have to turn on a switch and wait, which isn’t ideal with kids when you’re trying to get ready quickly.

There was plenty of parking, and it took around 20 mins to reach the promenade of paphos. The apartment was equipped, which was nice, but the bed wasn’t too comfortable. Room service only came every 3 days. The cleaning was fine, but towels could have been changed more often without an extra charge. There were some small cracks in the walls, and the towel support was broken. The electrical pannel made noise at night, so we switched off the electricity by removing the room card. They can still improve details or renovate.

The grounds were kept immaculately, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had everything we needed, plus a great-sized balcony overlooking the pool area. There was plenty of parking too. It’s centrally located for walking to the harbour and Old Town. Would definitely stay again.
