Galatia's Court

The studio I booked was lovely, with a fully equipped kitchen, a big double bed, plasma TV, WiFi, air conditioning, and an outside table and chair. The sunset view over the town and sea was amazing. These are nice budget rooms in a quiet area of Paphos. Bus 603 runs every hour to and from the city, takes 35 minutes, and costs only 1.50. Friendly people too.

The WiFi works, but it’s slow, so no Skype calls or gaming. You also have to call on arrival to get the key and room number. For me, as an introvert, that was actually fine. I’d been told the key would be in the door, so there was no face to face interaction on day one. It could be a problem for people who can’t speak. The lift wasn’t working. The location is nice and very quiet, the place is clean, and our room had a big balcony with a sea view.

The apartment is big, easy to access, and has everything needed for self catering. The bed was comfortable. But there was no adequate flow of warm water or a decent temperature. Washing meant using a low flow of almost cold water.

We drove to Paphos and tried calling and messaging the landlord to bring the apartment key. We kept trying 30 minutes before we arrived, then waited another 30 minutes there. Nobody answered or met us, so we left and booked somewhere else. They called the next morning and said we’d get a refund, but the money never came back. Very unprofessional, definitely not recommended.
