Kefalos - Damon Hotel Apartments

The pools were just what I expected: three of them. One is long and shallow, another is smaller, tucked away, and deeper, more for the “pro’s etc”. The main pool near the entrance starts shallow and gets deeper, so it works well for families. The entertainment was amazing and really inclusive, and the staff were so helpful. Jennie was especially wonderful to me during my stay. The food was great too, with a different theme each day for some variety. There’s a shop right inside the place with everything you might need, and it’s easy to walk down to Paphos or get picked up for excursions. Thanks for making the trip so enjoyable.

Everything was very clean, and the rooms were really large. The staff were friendly and all spoke good English. It’s a small hotel near the beach, with an easy walk to the historic centre. Traffic was a little noisy at times, otherwise I’d have given it five stars.

Our apartment was clean, spacious, and just right. There are three pools, and both breakfast and dinner were good, with lots to choose from. The waiting staff were polite and helpful. My only complaint is that staff let some guests disrupt other people’s stay. We picked a quieter pool away from the music at the largest one, but then some British dink showed up with a boom box, sang along, and tried to chat with everyone in a leering way. Staff did nothing. On another occasion, two men sang loudly and drunkenly from their balcony, so everyone around the pool or in their own apartments had to hear it. I understand people want to have a 'good time', but not at everyone else’s expense when they’ve paid to be there. Everything else was great.

The biggest letdown was breakfast. It was the same each morning, with very little choice. I couldn’t really eat the omelette, and the granola wasn’t tasty. The boiled eggs, fruit, and plain yogurt were okay. The pancakes with honey were the only thing I truly enjoyed, since most of the spreads tasted quite artificial. I stayed at Damon Hotel for 4 days and had a good experience otherwise. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even arranged a taxi from the airport for me. There are several pools, none heated, plus a nice bar area. Late check-out was a real plus and made the stay more relaxed. Breakfast definitely needs work.
