Limnaria Gardens B

We’d stayed at Limnaria Gardens the previous September and immediately booked the same apartment again for this September. Earlier in the year, it was sold, so our booking was changed. We looked at the photos online, accepted the replacement, and trusted it would be of a similar standard. It wasn’t. We had booked apartment 201/E, but ended up in E block 102. The photos I’ve posted show the state it was in, and I’d like to know if they match what’s advertised on the website. The replacement hadn’t been cleaned or checked properly before we arrived. There was dirt throughout, the sofa cushions were disgusting, the curtains were stained, and the sink drainer and bowl were dirty. The artificial flowers were dusty, and the chairs and rough indoor dining table needed attention. The outdoor table and chairs needed some TLC too. Behind the twin bedroom, the patio was piled with broken furniture, some of which we had to shift just to open the shutters. The balcony canopy was broken and hanging dangerously, with pieces sticking out. The site also had piles of sunbeds, some stacked dangerously, making it hard to find a clear place to sit. There were several other problems inside: only one small outside wall light worked, the twin bedroom ceiling fan light was out, and the fuse box cover was missing. The main bathroom sink tap leaked across the counter, and the bath leaked while we showered. Hot water to the ensuite sink had been turned off. We reported it, and when the property manager turned it back on, water puddled on the bathroom floor. It had to be switched off again because they couldn’t get a plumber. It was pretty clear why it had been turned off. We were also woken early on several mornings by maintenance work in E/104. Contractors kept propping the main doors open and cutting marble in the lobby, making it impossible to get in. Large marble slabs were left propped up overnight. We reported this to the property manager. We also reported people swimming in the pool at midnight, but he said there was nothing he could do and that he’d raise it with the management committee. We didn’t spend much time in the apartment because it was so dirty and we couldn’t use the patio furniture. After a difficult year, the trip was meant to give me and my sister time together and help us make memories, so we tried to carry on. Still, it was bitterly disappointing after our last stay. Cyprus Lettings seemed interested in bookings, not customer satisfaction. The property manager and letting agent offered no explanation. Their response was: “We are sorry about this situation but you did not contact us while you were in the Property so we can only deal with the issues now which is what we are doing.” I’ve also reported issues during the stay, including the hot water, maintenance work, and midnight swimming.
