M Boutique Hotel - Designed for Adults

M Boutique Hotel in Paphos has a relaxed feel and a lovely pool area that was calm and clean, perfect for unwinding. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and clean, with a really nice design. Staff were friendly and the service was good overall. We especially liked the location, close to plenty of restaurants and bars, the beach, and lots to do nearby. Breakfast was just average, not bad, but nothing special. We stayed two nights and had a great time. We'd happily come back and recommend it.

Joanna was a real credit to M Boutique, always greeting us with a smile and ready to help. Maria welcomed us warmly when we arrived and shared useful tips on places to see. The whole team was friendly. Our room was thoughtfully laid out, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. The hotel is in a good spot, and we had a very pleasant stay. I’d happily come back when I’m in Cyprus again.

The rooms were clean and the mattresses comfortable, though standard rooms are very small. The website photos set expectations much higher than the stay delivered. To me, this is a decent three-star hotel by the harbor, not the deluxe retreat the marketing implies. Be cautious if you're offered a “Gala” event. It was set up in the usual noisy bar, with the music turned up, and the promised “Champagne” was Prosecco. When we raised it, we got rehearsed marketing lines instead of a useful fix. If you're after four- or five-star service and standards, I'd look elsewhere.

Joanna and Sophia at breakfast were lovely, and the reception area looked stunning. But it's separate from the room blocks, so we hardly spent any time there. The hotel felt more like a group of apartments than one hotel, and the layout didn't feel very secure. We paid for a superior room with a balcony. The paint was scuffed, the bathroom door wouldn't lock, the AC didn't work, and we couldn't cool the room below 22C. The bed wasn't comfortable, and our so-called balcony looked onto the pool toilets and cleaners' area. Cleaners woke us at 7am every morning by making a lot of noise. The setting was another problem. An English karaoke bar next door played music until 1am, loud enough for us to hear everything. The road beside the hotel also meant traffic noise while we were by the pool. In December the pool got hardly any sun, quickly went into shade, and was freezing. The loungers lost the sun around 2pm. Breakfast wasn't included, which Booking.com hadn't made clear, and neither had the man working in the breakfast area. He was difficult to communicate with. The food tasted good, but the açai bowl was watery rather than thick and frozen, and the excellent French toast was just one slice. One day, staff were cutting all the trees by the pool. It was very loud, though I understand that work has to happen sometime. I came away very disappointed and wouldn't recommend the hotel.
