Mayfair Hotel Gardens

The setting was pleasant, with lovely green grounds and a beautiful, well-kept garden. The food was very good and offered plenty of variety, and the cleaning staff were especially kind. Still, we had trouble from the start. The hotel hadn't recorded our booking for two adults and two children properly, so the children weren't in their system. We arrived late in the evening with tired kids, and check-in took a long time, which was stressful. The room also didn't match its Booking.com description. It was supposed to have a double bed and two sofa beds, but there was only one sofa. A fold-out extra bed arrived after the first night, and one of our children slept on that uncomfortable temporary bed for most of the stay. For much of the visit, the hotel put the responsibility on Booking.com and didn't give us a clear solution. Our messages and requests didn't get timely replies. We were sent to a guest relations manager who wasn't available then. The children's activities listed on the schedule happened only partly or not at all. We did get a free late checkout at the very end, but we had to suggest it ourselves. The hotel has good facilities, good food and attractive surroundings, but it needs to handle problems and communicate better with guests, especially families with children.

The animation team kept us entertained, especially Stan, Mario, and the lovely girl from Hawaii, who made the bingo games fun. Reception staff were excellent too. We had a wonderful time at Mayfair Hotel Paphos, with delicious food, a great atmosphere and friendly service. Pafos and the hotel both left a lovely impression, and we'll definitely return.

This is a nice choice for a family holiday, with several buildings in the complex and packages ranging from breakfast only to half-board and all-inclusive. There are outdoor pools as well as an indoor one. It's around a 20-minute walk to Paphos harbour, and close to the mall and Tomb of Kings.

The gardens and hotel are beautiful, and the place seems suited to couples and families alike. Our accommodation was tidy, clean and spacious. Staff were attentive and always willing to help. The food was excellent, with options even for picky eaters. Pool areas were neat and clean, and the pools were a good size. I'd highly recommend it.
