Minthis Resort

A lovely spot for a relaxing weekend, surrounded by beautiful nature. Minthis Resort is great for unwinding, and there are some really nice restaurants nearby, which makes it convenient for a full getaway.

The peaceful setting, great food, and what I think is the best spa in Cyprus made for a lovely stay at this beautiful villa resort. With so many stairs, getting around with a baby stroller was a bit hard, so it seems better suited to couples than families with kids. Thanks for such a great memory.

The calm, beautiful resort was nice, but it didn’t feel like a five-star experience for families. Most facilities are for guests aged 16 and over. We were mainly there for our daughter, so it was disappointing that she couldn’t use the spa or indoor pool, and the outdoor pool was closed for winter. For four guests we got only two bottles of water, and the toiletries were very basic for a hotel described as five-star, with a toothbrush available only on request. There was confusion about breakfast charges even though breakfast was included. When we came back at midnight, the bathtub was blocked. At checkout they questioned why we hadn’t reported it earlier, but it was late and we just wanted to rest.

I’ve visited Minthis spa many times, but after what happened on 22.11.25, I still have marks on my legs and have no desire to return. My friend and I both developed skin irritation on our legs after massages in separate rooms and then using the spa. The irritation was on different sides for each of us. I think we may have been exposed to chemicals or bitten by tiny insects in the spa facilities, possibilities my dermatologist later mentioned. It could have been the towels or areas of the spa. Mine was worse, and after two weeks the spots were still there and bluish. It ruined all my plans before the holidays. I contacted the spa and sent the doctor's report, photos, and receipts for the doctor and pharmacy. They said an internal investigation found no issues with laundry, cleaning, or spa procedures. They also said they had received no similar reports, which isn't true, as my friend reported it and sent photos too. They suggested I had an internal allergic reaction to massage oil, but if that was the case, why was it only where I sat? We had different massage oils as well. They gave no explanation after those comments, and I still haven't received compensation. They offered a free treatment but never even sent it. Anyone with the same problem, please report it to them and to the Consumer Protection Agency in Cyprus.
