TRIANON Hostel - Central Paphos Old Town

The lady was friendly, and the keypad entry worked well. I liked that the room had four single beds, and clean linens and a towel were provided. It's close to shops and restaurants, and only a short walk from the archaeological museum. The place has old-fashioned charm, but it needs a deep clean, and the bathroom and toilet need renovating. There are stairs and no lift. The dorm had very little light, with just one bedside lamp for the whole room, and the hostel smelled of cigarettes at night. There was no lock on the dorm door. I was alone for that night, and it didn't feel like a good setup.

Warning to other visitors. On 19.10.2025 at this hostel, a 30-year-old man with Slavic features, who was in Cyprus for the next 2-3 days, took €150 from my wallet. I'd left it unattended for a while, which was my mistake. He had pretended to be a friend and an “experienced traveller,” then acted as if he knew nothing about it. I've reported the incident to the Police and am sharing this to help protect other people in the community. Be cautious around people who approach easily, ask you to trust them, or attach themselves to travelers. Never leave money or a wallet unattended, even for a few minutes.

The room was dirty, with no ceiling light or bedside light. The ceiling fan and the street were both loud. Not suitable for backpackers.

For a short stay, it's fair for the price. You get a dorm, but there's no curtain or privacy. The location is very central, though the promenade is about a 50-minute walk away.
