Flora Apartment Hotel

The half-board breakfast was fine, and even superb for me because I love eggs. There were seven or eight set meals, all with eggs, with American pancakes as the only other option. The other meal, lunch or dinner at the restaurant next door, which I understood shares the owner, was awful. There were six or seven set choices, and the food tasted and looked strange, as if it had been prepared days earlier. Zero out of ten. We stopped eating there on the second day, even though we’d paid for half board, and ate elsewhere. The location is reasonably close to the beach, but it’s far too loud on the main street. The windows don’t fit properly, so street noise gets in. The rooms are okay, cleaned and towels changed every other day. The Wi-Fi was amazing throughout the hotel. The pool looked nice and wasn’t crowded, though we didn’t use it. There’s a bus station right outside and lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. Honestly, I don’t understand why the reviews are so high.

My only complaint is the food. Breakfast was fine, but the half-board dinners were a disaster, sour and inedible, as if they’d been made five days earlier. We ate them for two or three days and had stomach pains afterward, so we skipped dinner. They really need to pay attention to this. Everything else was excellent. The staff deserve all praise, and the spacious rooms were tidy, clean, and equipped with what we needed. Since the hotel is on the main street, nearby venues can make it quite noisy.

We spent two weeks at the Flora and had a great stay. The staff are amazing, the family-run hotel is managed brilliantly, the rooms are cleaned every two days, and the pool facilities are perfect. It’s about a five-minute walk to the beach, with restaurants, shops, a chemist, and everything else nearby. We were also allowed to keep one room late on our final day because we had a late flight. That was a really kind gesture and meant a lot to our family. One warning: if your room faces the strip, bring earplugs. Jokers square is opposite, and its band plays until 3 a.m. I’ve never had such broken sleep. I’d definitely come back, but would try for a room overlooking the pool. Thanks, guys, you’re amazing.

The staff were kind and hospitable, and always helpful when we asked for anything. The location is great, right on Protaras’ main street, about a five-minute walk from the beach. Restaurants, shops, and the bus station are all close. We were on the first floor and weren’t bothered by noise or loud music. We stayed for ten days. The rooms were spacious, but not very clean: the floors weren’t cleaned once, and there was quite a bit of dirt. Towels were changed every two days, which was good, but they smelled very strange. Breakfast was not abundant, and the same eight options were served every day. Because of our travel schedule, we asked for a lunch package and got a very basic sandwich.
