The Golden Coast Beach Hotel

We got married at the Golden Coast Beach hotel a week ago, and the experience was amazing. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were clean and nice, the food was lovely, and the location was perfect. We liked it so much that we extended our stay by four days. Felicity, our wedding planner, was outstanding. She made planning our perfect day easy and kept things stress free in the run up and throughout the wedding with her warm, caring presence. The hotel was spotless, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We just got married here, and Felicity was superb from our first meeting through the menu tasting and all the wedding preparations. With help from the decorator, we brought my now wife's dream wedding to life. The food was amazing, the cakes were so tasty, and all the extras added so much to the experience. A special shout out to the DJ, Alex G, and the fantastic photographer and videographer, Leonidas. We'll definitely be back!

Breakfast was the stressful part of our seven night B&B stay in October. It was hard to find a table at times, and the buffet area was packed with people. The food selection was fine and good quality. The room was spacious and quite luxurious, and it was cleaned well every day. I also liked my first impression of the hotel, which seemed spacious, modern, and airy, especially around the lobby. I usually went back to my room to relax rather than attend the hotel's evening entertainment. About four days into the stay, Netflix and a couple of other channels disappeared from the TV selection. Reception gave me a garbled explanation that not all rooms had the same channels. A maintenance man came by, but seemed to lack both technical knowledge and English skills. He left mumbling something about "reception" and nobody followed up. Some of the reception staff came across as casual and perfunctory. Maybe being late in the season had left them fed up with guests' questions and complaints.

The beach towels were included in the accommodation price, which I appreciated, and the hotel is modern and newly renovated in a pleasant location. The food was below average compared with other hotels. The artificial bay out front is handy for small children and older people, but its water isn't as clean as at other beaches. The biggest drawback was the wedding every single day, even during the week. Loud music and noise went on late into the night.
