Louis Althea Beach Hotel

The staff were kind and helpful the whole time, and our eight-day stay was wonderful. We'd paid for all-inclusive, and the food was delicious. One day we got back too late for lunch, but they still let us fill a plate. They also made things easier with little touches, like washing the dishes and leaving a couple of water bottles in our room on the first day. At check-in, reception told us we'd been upgraded for free to a house with a private pool. They said they sometimes do this for families booking two or more rooms. We actually preferred to be near the pool and bar, so there was no issue switching back to our two rooms. They even arranged them next to each other. On our last day, we celebrated my wife's fortieth birthday, and the restaurant surprised us with a small cake and a candle. The stay was better than I expected. They really deserve five stars.

The only real downside was the coffee, which was extremely awful. Luckily, the family suite had a filter machine, so we could brew our own. The hotel, staff, surroundings, facilities and food were all really great. It's also ideal for families, even with little kids.

The grounds and beach are immaculate, and the bar is well stocked with plenty of staff. The entertainment team worked hard all day and into the night. Everyone was friendly, the rooms were clean and tidy, and there was plenty of freshly cooked food. The place has everything you could want.

My family loved our three-day all-inclusive stay. There are three pools, two large ones and a small pool for toddlers, plus fun activities during the day for children and adults. The children's disco and the evening dancing and singing shows were amazing, thanks to the entertainment team. The food was perfect and really tasty, and the bar drinks were good too. Staff were friendly and professional, and everything was well organised. Our room was cleaned daily, with nice beds and mattresses. They also welcomed us with fruit, juice and water. It was one of the best hotels we've stayed in.
