The quiet location near the sea was a big plus for our family with small children, and getting there by car was easy. We also liked the daily choice of meat and fish, the filling all-inclusive snacks, and the range of drinks. Some staff were truly friendly and helpful. But other staff laughed when I made mistakes in English or looked annoyed, which made ordering drinks uncomfortable. We booked a renovated two-level room but were given a two-room unit with old furniture and an unpleasant smell. Some pieces were broken, especially the sofas the children slept on, which felt uncomfortable and unsafe. Housekeeping was inconsistent: sometimes there weren’t enough towels, and I had to go to reception before anything changed; another day the room wasn’t cleaned at all. Staff also sometimes let themselves in with a key without knocking, which felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. For a three-star hotel, some of this might be acceptable, but it was still disappointing. At night, we didn’t feel safe leaving the windows open for air, particularly on the ground floor, since there were no stoppers and someone could potentially get in. Fruit was very limited, with melon every day and other kinds served only about three times during the week. There were no children’s activities or animators, so families with young kids may find it boring. We’d call the holiday a solid “3+”: generally fine, but not truly comfortable. The hotel has potential, though there’s plenty to improve.
We ended up here because our original hotel had a problem with our room, so we hadn’t chosen this place for the trip. Given that, I’m trying to keep my view neutral. We’re grateful they accommodated us, but I can’t say we’d want to come back. The hotel is quiet and has a small-village feel, which seems good for families with younger children. It’s also close to the beach. The front desk women were welcoming, kind, and helpful with directions. A lot of the other staff, though, made us feel as if our presence was a bother, and that took away from the holiday. Maybe I sound like a snob, but hospitality work calls for being hospitable. Our room was very hot. During the day we needed the AC on, and at night we had to open all the windows for ventilation. The bedroom AC was leaking, but they fixed it quickly once we reported it. The room felt open yet claustrophobic, and there were ants downstairs. Still, cleaners came daily and the bedding and towels were clean. There was no hair dryer or shampoo or shower gel, so bring your own. There weren’t many food choices and some meals felt repetitive, but everything tasted good and there was something for everyone.
The beaches nearby are beautiful, and you can easily catch a bus farther out if you want to see Ayia nappa ect. We had a brilliant six days here, and wish we’d booked a longer stay. The staff were amazing, attentive and good craic. We enjoyed chatting with the bar staff while sitting at the bar. Our room was bigger than I expected and had an incredible view. We watched the sun rise every morning. The food was delicious. There wasn’t a huge selection, but there was enough to see us through the week without getting bored. We loved the carbonara and ceasar salad so much that we had them several times during the stay 😂 Thanks for a brilliant holiday, definitely recommend!
The one real plus was being fairly close to the beach. The stay itself was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel, especially for families with young children. The interior is dated and there were ants in our room. The air conditioner was right in front of the bed, and since it only runs with the key card inserted, we couldn’t leave it on overnight. The room got very hot. There was no hairdryer either, so I had to bring my own. Food and fruit choices were very limited, and staff would often take away our plates before we’d finished eating. Housekeeping seemed annoyed much of the time and didn’t take requests into account. Cleaning was minimal, basically mopping the floor and changing the sheets superficially. We also had a personal item go missing during the stay, likely taken by housekeeping.
Our villa was spacious and clean, and the quiet area was still close to small shops and a seafront promenade. The sandy beach was only a short walk away, with crystal-clear water that was lovely for swimming with kids. We’re a family with a toddler, and the steep stairs inside weren’t ideal for little children, so we had to be extra careful. The kitchen wasn’t set up for cooking: there was no stove or cookware, just a small kettle. We gave it four stars rather than five because a few details could use attention, like refreshing some furniture, adding kitchen items, and keeping up with small maintenance. These were minor things and didn’t spoil our stay.
