Silver Sands Beach Hotel

I only found out the establishment was closed when I was already on my way to Cyprus. I understand why it might have shut given the current climate, but it would have been nice to be kept informed. The replacement hotel they arranged was beautiful and only a short distance away. It was a humbling experience being around the lovely people and their culture, and the area and people were lovely too. I'd recommend coming here. Just keep in touch with your travel agency if you're not booking for the busier times of year, since places may close when staying open costs more, which is understandable.

The view from this hotel is gorgeous, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed and decent toiletries. The staff were so warm, especially Mikela at reception. Extra hug for her! 🤗 She made our stay feel special. Nothing specific to complain about, though some of the furniture looks a little worn.

That evening bar guy was a highlight, really friendly and made an effort to chat with us. We still had an amazing holiday and would recommend the place if you want a relaxed, low budget break. The hotel is right on a great beach with water sports, but the food was appalling. I’m not fussy, yet a lot of it looked like slop. Mexican night was amazing, though. Entertainment was almost nonexistent, just a violin at dinner and nothing to bring people together, which was disappointing. I was also told to put a top on when I went for lunch in a bikini top. I could understand that at breakfast or dinner, but people were relaxing around the pool all day, so it felt unnecessary and a bit embarrassing. Most staff, including reception, weren’t very polite.

The food was questionable, and the service had nothing to do with the price. They don’t answer the phone, they lie, and make things up about things they never do. If anything happens, they won’t help you at all. The hotel feels unbelievably unprofessional. A very disappointing experience, rating: 0. Anyone who can should avoid staying here.
