Villa Anemoni Protaras

The owner was rude, and the place was disgusting and untidy. When we sent a picture showing how unclean it was, they replied that it wasn’t that bad. The villa looked nothing like the photos: the kitchen appeared new in the pictures, but in reality it was completely demolished, with paint peeling off, and the curtains were covered in stains. We spent the first day cleaning. He only has 5 starts because he gets the bad reviews removed! Google, I have RECEIPTS showing our reservation and that we stayed here. Don’t delete my review, or others won’t be able to enjoy their holiday because of how untidy this villa is.

The villa was not the one shown in the picture, and it’s clearly old. There’s very little equipment, and what’s there is very worn. Almost all the dishes were dirty, the drawers smelled, the pots were dented, and the grill was rusted through with holes. The pool had a rubber mat instead of the tiles shown in the photo. Some blinds were broken, and there were holes in the walls, perhaps where TVs or pictures had been. The floor was filthy when we arrived. We complained because the children had been crawling on it and had black hands and knees. After we cleaned it thoroughly ourselves, it was much better. Some decorative stone tiles around the pool had come loose, leaving sharp edges that were dangerous for children. Three of the five pool-area lights didn’t work. The beds were very small, and both showers had only one wall, so water splashed through the whole bathroom. One shower was really just a toilet with a showerhead, without an actual shower. The last part of the original review is unclear.

The house met our needs for a week-long family holiday, and we had a lot of fun. It’s very well placed, so we could walk with our young kids to the beach or to restaurants. The garden could have been cleared of small rubbish better, and some things inside needed attention too, like wardrobe and kitchen cupboard doors. Still, the company’s staff were always available when we called and acted on our requests right away. We stayed at "Anastasia" villa.

The villa sleeps eight, with enough beds for everyone. One bedroom has its own bathroom, and there’s another shared bathroom in the connecting area. The kitchen has all the utensils you need, and the pool is clean, with daily cleaning. Overall, I had a positive impression of the villa. The sea is about a kilometer away, and there’s a nearby grocery store called "Lidl". I can recommend this place.
