The pool was in a bad state when we arrived, and the smell was unpleasant. I waited until my family had used it, then got in and immediately told everyone to get out. I contacted the agency and gave them a few options. They cleaned and serviced the pool and tidied the outdoor areas, and I was glad to see them trying to put things right. They also replaced the faulty items in the villa. The toaster had tripped the main fuses, which were outside elsewhere on the street. It’s a crazy setup, though all the villas seemed to have it. They did manage to improve things while we were there, so we still enjoyed the stay, even though this was close to being a one-star review. There are several things that still need work. The Wi-Fi was almost unusable, with speeds around 1.9 Mbps, I think. In the UK, I think we get about 75 times that. Some of the outdoor floor tiles were loose or broken, the kitchen had very few utensils, and the air conditioner in the main open-plan area leaked onto the floor. The upstairs flooring and stairwell also need a full overhaul, as the laminate is cheap.

A lovely spot right by the sea!

The main reason for my low rating was the Wi-Fi. It didn’t work at all on the second floor, and was painfully slow even beside the router, so I had to rely on mobile internet. The downstairs room also still smelled bad after it had been cleaned. The oven kept tripping the breakers and eventually cut power to the whole house, although the service team responded quickly. We stayed in August 2019. Apart from these problems, things were fine.
