Azzurro Luxury Holiday Villas Apartment

We stayed in three villas as our group explored Cyprus, and they were outstanding. The setting is beautifully quiet, with great facilities. It's a short walk to the beach and seafront, and there are some great local restaurants nearby. We'll be back next year and for years after that!

The location suited us perfectly, away from the commercial centres, with a lovely little beach nearby where we swam with sea turtles most days. There are also some great restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. We couldn't recommend this place more. We'd just returned from a week's holiday at Azzuro. Our spacious villa had a big pool set in a lovely garden. Harry and his staff, including Kevin, were friendly, helpful and excellent hosts. The villa had everything we needed, and the air conditioning was a real help on hot evenings. The table tennis was a particular hit with our family.

Azzurro villas are obviously running a scam! We booked through Tui at a very good price, with the villa rated five star. It was large, but old, and we needed a car to get around. The furniture was broken, the kitchen was tiny for six and poorly equipped, and the air conditioning wasn't great. The pool guy didn't come every day, and I was surprised to learn on the second pool clean that the yellow marks were dirt, not stains. Still, we managed and enjoyed the villa. It wasn't the five star place advertised, but I had been left alone, so I was even planning to leave a positive review. We paid nearly £4000 for the holiday, which usually suggests luxury, but we decided to relax and make do. Then I got a shocking email with pictures of the already broken outdoor table and fridge drawer, and a charge of €450. The table had one broken leg and a new screw in it when we arrived, and we made do. The fridge door broke during our stay, but it's an old villa. We didn't take photos of the broken furniture, which I now regret. There were plenty of other problems too: a broken chair in the outdoor eating area, a dirty BBQ, another outdoor dining chair issue, a downstairs toilet seat that didn't fit, a cheap shower rail that wasn't fitted properly, and a constant sewer smell. Had anyone checked before we arrived whether those items were already broken? They certainly were. Were there dated pictures from before our stay? Is this how you rip off customers? Do all customers have to go through the shock and disgust of feeling ripped off? Is TUI aware of your lies and fraudulent claims against customers? Disgusted. AVOID!

We had a lovely family holiday here. The villa was well maintained, and having our own pool was a bonus. Harry, the villa manager, was approachable and attentive, and sorted out any issues without fuss. I'd highly recommend these villas for a family break in the Paphos area.
