Villa Captains

The Captains Villa was just what we wanted, tucked away in the hills and very quiet. The view is outstanding, especially at sunset, and both the pool and hot tub were amazing. We stayed in April with friends and their children and had a fabulous time. Thanks, Cyprus Villa Retreats, for a wonderful holiday. We’ll definitely be back!

We spent most of our time around the kitchen and BBQ. The kitchen is well equipped, with several places to eat, and it was easy to find supplies at the huge local Phillipos. The facilities kept our group busy, from the lovely pool and its sunny and shady spots to table tennis, a pool table in the shade and a games console indoors. The villa sits high in the hills, overlooking the sea and Coral Bay nightlife below. It’s a great spot for families or groups of friends. If you want a bit of class in the sun with friends or family, this could be the place for you.

I love waking up and having coffee on one of the three bedroom balconies. The kitchen is well stocked, so I enjoy cooking and making jugs of cocktails for my friends. It feels like a home away from home, with a better TV, BBQ and pool area. The Captains is near Coral Bay’s best and biggest supermarket, Phillippos. I come every year and try to book this villa. Cyprus Villa Retreats provides a gorgeous place with superb facilities at a very reasonable cost. Bring on next year!

I wanted to arrange a weekend away for my 30th birthday with friends, with a private chef and an elegant dinner. They asked whether my group was couples, singles, and so on, then said they were a family-oriented company. Before booking, they required a £1500 deposit upfront and a written promise that there would be no loud music or party. I was shocked by that response, considering they advertise secluded properties as wedding venues. It was a really disappointing interaction, and felt incredibly discriminatory and very suspicious. I’d take my business elsewhere.
