The deposit still hasn’t been returned, even though we gave the owner plenty of notice that COVID restrictions meant we could not travel for our May 2021 wedding stay. We asked to move the booking to later in the year, but the owner said they were fully booked, which I understand. What I can’t accept is keeping the large deposit when the cancellation was required by government rules and wasn’t our choice. This has caused us a lot of distress, and it feels like the owner is more concerned about their losses and reputation than the much bigger impact this has had on us.

After we posted about what happened, the owner publicly misrepresented it, which made an already awful experience worse. Our wedding booking for 2021 had to move because of COVID, and it was illegal for us to fly to Cyprus. The owner would not change the dates, refund the deposit, or even speak to us civilly. His replies were short, rude emails, and he seemed unwilling to help. I know COVID affected everyone, but other operators were trying to rebook or offer credit. This owner wasn’t. Don’t stay here or give this greedy person your money.

We spent all of June at this villa and would happily come back. The pool area was wonderful, the furniture luxurious, and it’s the most beautiful villa I’ve seen in Cyprus. Kostas, the owner, was warm and hospitable, and always ready to help.

I’m still waiting for the refund you say you offered. That claim is a lie, though I’m happy for you to return my money, and you have my details. We tried to move our booking because COVID restrictions made it impossible for tourists to enter Cyprus. Even with lots of notice, the owner refused any alternative dates, despite having previously offered us a full refund. The emails were rude and horrible, and the owner showed no interest in providing any kind of service.
