We didn’t want to leave, but we’ll definitely come back! My wife, our big dog, and I managed to relax completely. The staff welcomed us warmly on arrival, and we were glad to meet and chat with them. It’s such a beautiful, authentic place with a cozy feel, like stepping into a mansion where time has stood still and everything is there just for you.

Breakfast outdoors in the forest under the open sky was one of the best parts of the stay. The spa was incredible too, with a sauna, jacuzzi-hot tub, and cold plunge right among towering pine trees. So peaceful, like a real oasis. Staff were friendly and always ready to help, and the rooms were comfortable and cozy. Everything felt perfect, and I highly recommend this place.

The restaurant has closed, which added to the disappointment of how much this little hideaway has changed. I suspected a change of ownership, and that turned out to be right. We used to love the attention to detail here, but it’s been lost. There are dried flowers in the pots, the sauna door sticks, and the sauna bucket leaks. The area around the hotel is messy, cleaning no longer meets a good standard, and the breakfast quality has deteriorated. Cushions are left out overnight instead of being removed for hygiene, and outdoor furniture, some of it broken, is scattered around. Samy tries very hard to help and satisfy guests, but it seems they’re running with extremely low staff numbers. One eager warrior can’t run a place like this.

The rooms are a little small, but they’re clean and nice, and the whole place is very serene. Using the sauna and jacuzzi was a much appreciated perk. The staff are friendly and attentive, and clearly take good care of both guests and this historic building. Highly recommended.
