This hotel could be so much better, but it’s badly run. The owner seems to give more attention to the bar and restaurant than to the apartments. We had no remote for the air conditioning, so we had to stand on a chair and push a pointed knife through a hole to turn it on. The shower door was broken and flooded the bathroom, and there was no plug in the sink. We had to ask for the room to be serviced, which happened just once in five days. The pool area needed sweeping, and the pool was full of seeds from the palm trees and needed cleaning. When I asked the manager about it, he didn’t seem to care. Our Swedish neighbours asked for more florins to be put in the pool because the water was cloudy.

Latchi is peaceful and the sea is beautiful. The apartment is well placed, with the beach across the road, two small supermarkets nearby and a larger one in Polis. The bus stop is right by the restaurant, and the airport is 45 km away. The rate was among the lowest in the area. The rooms are dated, although ours had working appliances and dishes, including a stove. The shower door was missing, and the grounds could use some tidying. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the young men staying next door talked loudly late into the night, and we could hear them very clearly. The owner seemed more interested in the restaurant than the apartment.
